1.8 Installing the probe housing

Figure 1-6. Housing unit.

1. Move the MIDA TOOL EYE- MANUAL arm to the home position.

2. Position the housing in contact with the arm; this gives a first approximate idea of the final position of

the cylindrical body.

3. Adjust the housing position so that the probe fits in correctly.

4. Make the holes for the fixing screws in the wall of the machine.

5. Insert the two M6-40 screws and secure the housing to the wall of the machine.

Perform the operations shown in Figure 1-7:
